A legacy of love, quality, and canine health
The Origin Story
Tukkathyme was created by experienced dog breeders who wanted a natural, plant-based muesli to support the health, energy, and condition of their dogs. In 2005, the brand changed hands and quickly grew into a respected name in the New Zealand dog community, especially among breeders and show dog owners. After a period of limited promotion under its third ownership, production was set to stop in 2024.
Why We Took Over
We had been feeding Tukkathyme to our own dogs for over two years. When we discovered it was no longer being made, we couldn’t let a product this good disappear. Our Cocker Spaniels, Cosmo and Peanut Jr., had thrived on it—and we knew other dogs deserved the same. So we stepped in to continue the journey and keep the Tukkathyme legacy alive.
Our Team Today
Tukkathyme is now proudly made in Auckland, staying true to its original formula with a few careful improvements. Everything we do is guided by experience and a genuine love for dogs.

Leads our Quality Assurance. Being a seasoned world traveller, he relocated to New Zealand in 2019.
With over a decade of experience trying all sorts of dog food, he knows what works and what doesn’t — and he only settles for the best!

Born and bread in Christchurch from a long line of champion show dogs, he performs the most important role as our Chief Taste Tester. He’s got a sharp nose for quality and ensures every ingredient is something he’d happily gobble up himself.
